There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. (Jawaharlal Nehru)

Becky's back from her weekend in New York, and from all accounts she had a wonderful time. I'm so jealous! I love to travel, and a weekend in Brooklyn sounds like a lot of fun. But I was a good mommy, and let my baby have her big trip without me. Surprisingly, I wasn't as nervous as I thought I should be. Probably because I knew that she was in good hands. Cari may drive me crazy at times, but she's a terrific kid with a good head on her shoulders. And she's much better suited for city life than I will ever be.

This and That:

I had a call this evening from a high school friend. She and her husband are coming to Florida in February, and we'll have a chance to get together. I can't wait. I missed my 20th reunion this past fall, so it'll be nice to catch up on all the news.

I must have about a half-dozen posts written in Word that just never got posted. I debated about adding them now, but the mood has passed. Sorry. I finally have internet access on Daisy again, so hopefully I'll be better at posting any drafts I might write during the day.

You may have noticed (from the sidebar listings) that I'm reading less and watching more movies. The cable doesn't work in the living room, so the kids and I have started watching DVDs together in the evening. I'm getting less done (since it's harder to walk away from the TV in the middle of movie instead of a half-hour show), but it's nice sitting together.
