Time is that quality of nature which keeps events from happening all at once. Lately it doesn't seem to be working. (Anonymous)

The way the morning is supposed to be:
Take my oldest son to the bus stop at 6 am. Then back home for half an hour. Take my youngest daughter to her bus stop at 6:45. Then back home for an hour. Leave for work, dropping off my second son at school on the way to my school.

The way it was this morning:
Took my oldest son to the bus stop, just in time to see his bus leaving the stop at 6 am. We rushed to a stop further along the route, hoping to get him on the bus anyway. We made that stop in time, except that my son realized he was missing part of his ROTC uniform. So we waved goodbye to the bus, and went back home. Oldest son changed into FULL uniform, while I took daughter to the bus stop. We were just in time to wave goodbye to her bus as it pulled away from the bus stop. We rushed to a stop further along on the route, hoping to get her on the bus anyway. This time we were successful, and daughter was on her way to school. I went back to the house, with just enough time to get both sons into the car. We rushed to the train station, and arrived just in time to put oldest son on the train headed for school. I now had only 15 minutes left before second son and I had to leave for school/work. We decided to treat ourselves to Dunkin Donuts (I really wanted a mocha latte at this point!). We drive to Dunkin Donuts, only to find out that they were out of mocha lattes. Naturally. (Insert a big sigh here) At least I was still able to get the two of us to where we needed to be on time.
